#2 Florida State 20 @ #10 Louisville 63 (FSU -2)
- My Picks: I picked Louisville both straight up and against the spread (both correct)
- College Gameday Picks: Desmond Howard, guest picker Laila Ali, and Lee Corso all picked Louisville. Kirk Herbstreit was calling the game and abstained from making a pick.
- I watched this entire game and was ecstatic and blown away with how incredible Louisville looked playing against the best defense they've faced this season. Apart from a very small portion of the second quarter, Louisville was never really in danger of losing this game. When they got the lead, their offense kept pouring it on and their defense remained angry and hungry and stepped on Florida State's throat. This game really wasn't even as close as the score shows, as Florida State got a late touchdown against Louisville's second team defense. Cardinals' QB Lamar Jackson absolutely looks the part of big-time football player and Heisman Trophy favorite. Their offensive line constantly gave Jackson a clean pocket to throw from and on the rare occasions when he felt pressured, he made the correct decision and took off. Louisville's defense was stellar, sealing off the edge and swarming to the ball and was always getting pressure of Florida State's quarterback, Deondre Francois. While Florida State looked out of place and will need to regroup, Louisville looked like a real contender to upset Clemson and win the ACC, and gain a berth to the College Football Playoff in the process.

A Note: I cannot figure out how Ole Miss and Oklahoma both remain ranked despite having losing records. I understand that Oklahoma and Ole Miss have both lost to two good teams, but still.
