- This ended up being the only game I really watched all weekend. Penn State came out early in this one looking terrible; their offense couldn't keep drives alive and their defense was getting ripped apart by Pitt's quick tempo running game and then through the air after Penn State loaded up the box. Towards halftime, Penn State began changing the momentum of the game, and Saquon Barkley began to take over the game. It was a back-and-forth game during the second half and Penn State had the opportunity to drive and win the game with under 2 minutes to go but ended up throwing an interception in the end zone to give Pitt the victory. All-in-all this was an awesome game, and was the renewal of a long-time rivalry. Penn State's new offensive system looks as modern as it did during the Bill O'Brien era and should take a lot of the pressure off of the offensive line. If they had implemented this system while Christian Hackenberg was still at school, he certainly would have had a better finish to his Penn State career and would have been drafted hire.
