Week 1 NFL Recap

Game Recaps

Carolina Panthers 20 @ Denver Broncos 21 (CAR -3)

Thu 9/8 - Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO
  • My Pick: I picked Carolina both straight up and against the spread (both wrong)
  • From what I watched of this game, Denver's defense picked up right where they left off with the Super Bowl last season.  Cam Newton struggled in this game and the Broncos' pass rush got after him all evening.  Their defense also made it so that their QB Trevor Siemian, starting in his first NFL game, only had to do the bare minimum to not lose them the game.  It still was just barely enough, as a Graham Gano missed field goal as time was expiring cost Carolina the game.
